Choosing the Right Role

Use Admin for:

  • Office managers who handle scheduling
  • Partners or co-owners
  • Project managers who need full access

Use Member for:

  • Field workers who need to see job details
  • Subcontractors working on specific projects
  • Employees who don’t need admin access

Viewing Your Team

The Team Members section shows everyone on your team:

  • Name - Their full name
  • Email - Their email address
  • Role - Owner, Admin, or Member

You can search by name or email, and filter by role.

If someone leaves your team:

  1. Find them in the Team Members list
  2. Click the three-dot menu on the right
  3. Select Remove Member
  4. Confirm the removal

Removed members immediately lose access to your Tallie data.

Managing Invitations

Pending Invitations

The Pending Invitations section shows invites that haven’t been accepted yet. For each invitation, you’ll see:

  • Email - Who was invited
  • Role - What role they’ll have
  • Expires - When the invitation expires

Revoking an Invitation

If you need to cancel an invitation:

  1. Find it in the Pending Invitations section
  2. Click Revoke
  3. Confirm your choice

The invitation link will no longer work.

Resending an Invitation

If someone didn’t receive or lost their invite:

  1. Revoke the old invitation
  2. Send a new invitation to the same email

What Team Members See

When someone joins your team, they can:

All team members can:

  • View projects assigned to them
  • See client information
  • Access the schedule
  • Use the mobile app

Admins can also:

  • Create and manage estimates
  • Create and send invoices
  • Add and edit clients
  • Invite other team members

Only the Owner can:

  • Access billing and subscription
  • Delete the organization
  • Transfer ownership

Tips

  • Start with Member role - You can always upgrade someone to Admin later
  • Use real email addresses - Invitations can only be accepted by the person who owns that email
  • Check pending invites regularly - Remind people to accept, or revoke old invitations
  • Remove access promptly - When someone leaves, remove them right away to protect your data
