AI Token Usage
Tallie uses AI tokens when you:
- Generate estimates with AI
- Use the chat assistant
- Create project descriptions
- Auto-fill client information
Checking Your Usage
The AI Token Usage card shows:
- How many tokens you’ve used this month
- Your monthly limit (Starter) or “unlimited” (Pro)
- A progress bar showing usage percentage
What Happens When You Run Out?
Starter plans: When you hit your limit, AI features pause until your next billing cycle. You can upgrade to Pro for unlimited tokens.
Pro plans: You have unlimited tokens, so this isn’t a concern.
When Do Tokens Reset?
Tokens reset on your billing date each month. For example, if you subscribed on the 15th, your tokens reset on the 15th of each month.
Before & After Previews
Before & After previews are counted separately from AI tokens:
- Trial: 3 previews total
- Starter: 10 previews per month
- Pro: Unlimited, subject to fair use
A preview is counted per estimate, not per image. Once a preview is open on an estimate you get up to 10 versions on it, and regenerating never costs another preview. Previews are pooled across everyone on your account — extra Pro seats don’t add more — and reset on your billing date each month, same as tokens.
When you’ve used your monthly previews, you can keep using every other part of Tallie; the panel tells you the date they reset.
See Before & After Previews for how to create one.
